General Manager Strategy and ReformsKhalid started his career as a financial advisory professional in the year 2004 after completing accounting training from PricewaterhouseCoopers in Pakistan and a master’s degree in financial management from a reputable university in the UK.
Khalid has worked within the advisory services of Grant Thornton for more than twenty years. Grant Thornton is one of the leading global firms for accountancy and management consultancy, represented by local partners in Pakistan. He has also founded a specialised financial advisory firm by the name of 92 CorpTree Consulting (Pvt.) Limited, before joining Punjab Financial Advisory Services Authority as a General Manager, Strategy and Reform.
During his career, Khalid has worked in the field of advisory services for multiple economic segments by undertaking projects from both public and private sectors, including international donor-funded projects focusing on public sector support and development. He has worked on the development of infrastructure projects, provided strategic assistance to various projects, and acted as a financial consultant under multiple engagements over the years, which have helped him develop a diverse and rich experience in the fields of specialized advisory services, strategic financial reform, and management.
